Nocturne
A new and inspiring piece from Gladisa Guadalupe based on the most beloved and sophisticated piano compositions by Frédéric Chopin performed live by Gerardo Teissonnière. Neoclassical ballet movements are the foundation for this new work giving a different element to the phenomenal classics of the 19th century.
Carmen
Set to the music of Georges Bizet with live flamenco guitar, this new interpretation of Carmen is a tale of passion, romance and sensuality. Caught in an act of murder, the title character, a captivating Spanish gypsy woman, seeks to save herself by seducing the strikingly handsome Don José. She succeeds and soon Don José fatally loses himself in Carmen’s passionate Latin charms. He becomes consumed in his love for her. However, to Carmen, Don José is just a game to be played. Their torrid romance is volatile and tempestuous. Finally, when he catches Carmen flirting with a Spanish toreador, Don José, in a fit of jealous rage, is driven to do the unthinkable. One of the company’s most beloved productions, Carmen is back by popular demand!
