Cesear's Forum

Nuclear threat, policy, power and human motivation are the basis of Michael Frayn’s play COPENHAGEN, being presented by Cesear’s Forum in a limited  engagement.   The mystery of an actual meeting between the two great physicists, German Werner Heisenberg and Danish Niels Bohr in 1941 occupied Denmark, is never fully explained.  The practical application of nuclear physics and their struggle with the inevitable ethical dilemmas emerge.  The play is presented fictionally, “inside the heads” of three characters, Bohr’s wife Margrethe is also present, as time shifts in the past and they relive their memories and speculations on the subsequent ramifications that define history.
