Help students succeed on and off the stage!

Playhouse Square is committed to providing quality arts learning opportunities to enrich the lives of students, families, teachers and adults. The 2024 Playhouse Square Dazzle Awards, presented by Pat & John Chapman, recognizes excellence in Northeast Ohio high school musical theater programs and emphasizes the importance of the arts in the lives of students. As of this year, we have served over 15,000 students in the program since it was started.

This year, Playhouse Square offered more than 2,000 students from 37 participating schools access to:

Five Broadway Master Classes presented by touring Broadway professionals
Three Technical Theater Master Classes
Three Musician Master Classes
Five Audition Workshops
Technical Apprenticeship for up to three students
Student Reporter Program for up to four students
Musical Apprenticeship for up to five students

Kayla Streem, a Junior at Solon High School, reflects on the experience, “I think that [the Dazzle Awards] really showed me how much talent there is out there, just in the Cleveland area itself. There are so many amazing people who have so much amazing talent and it’s just really great to see everyone’s specialties.”

2024 Dazzle Awards Presentation:  Saturday, May 18 at 7:30 p.m. in the KeyBank State Theatre
Following the Dazzle Awards, two of the top students will represent Northeast Ohio and one student reporter will be nominated for the opportunity to cover the National High School Musical Theatre Awards this summer in New York City.
